Bible Reading Plan

My community is committed to daily Bible reading as a way of life. I am often asked for guidance on reading plans, so here are some of my favorite resources:

A Bible chapter checklist for reading at your own pace.

The New Testament in a year, one chapter a day – the 5x5x5 plan

One year Grand Narrative, one chapter a day overview of the major storylines of the Old and New Testaments, 25 percent of whole text

One Year Chronological Bible by Tyndale. All the Biblical books arranged into chronological order so you get the whole picture. Averages 3-4 chapters/day or read at your own pace. (Amazon)

The Bible Recap, one year through the whole Bible. A popular new reading plan, buy the accompanying Bible Recap book and you can read a short summary of what is happening in each day’s text. (Amazon) Also a daily podcast on the same topic. Averages 3-4 chapters/day or read at your own pace.
