Teaching

I am currently preaching once a month and teaching a Pastor’s Bible Study weekly as we work our way through the New Testament in 2025.

Sermon: Entrusted 10/26/25 Jesus entrusted the future of the gospel and the ministry of the kingdom to his followers. How did they respond? What is our responsibility regarding what has been entrusted to us? Luke 10:1-11 and a clip from The Chosen.

Sermon: Scandal of the Kingdom 9/7/25 Scripture presents a tale of two kingdoms. Salvation is a transfer of kingdoms and brings new life, a new identity, and new roles. What kingdom passport are you carrying?

Sermon: Marching Orders: Bear Witness 6/8/25 Jesus’ final instructions to his disciples were to wait for power that would enable them to be witnesses. What is a witness? How does the Spirit empower us? What stories do we need to tell, and to whom?

Sermon: Famous Last Words: Completion 4/27/25 Jesus said “It is finished”. But what exactly was finished? And what does that mean for us today?

Sermon: Famous Last Words: Relationship 3/23/25 Jesus speaks to Mary and John from the cross in John 19. We explore the challenges Mary faced, and themes of family obligations, fractured families, our new spiritual family, and bearing each other’s burdens.

Sermon: Be Holy: In With the New 2/23/25 Ephesians 4:22-24 and Colossians 3, with references to The Crown and Queen Elizabeth II. We explore what does it mean to be declared a new creation in Christ and how we are to clothe ourselves.

Sermon: The Holy Spirit in Paul’s Letters 10/23/24 An overview of what we learn about the Holy Spirit in Paul’s letters – how the Spirit liberates us, transforms us, and equips us.

Sermon: Friendship with God 06/25/24

Sermon: Overview of Covenant in Scripture 01/01/23 as part of a Wesleyan covenant renewal service at start of a new year.
